Having a chance to play with Elephants with Guns was one of the first chances to experiment with the idea of interethnic music with other musicians, at this point in development I was taking Uighur instruments and playing them in fusion with other south asian music influenced players, later I was compelled to follow more exactly the premise of interethnic art, came to China to immerse in the Uighur culture and language.  In this video and pictures you can see me playing Rawab and Ghirjek.  The band Elephants With Guns is still active in Los Angeles, you can see their work here:
